At what point does Alonzo plan on having Jake killed?

He seems to have it it planned after shooting the old guy in the house when he says in the car "just make sure the bathtub is clean"..but was there a "good" reason why he didn't just have Jake killed in the house when Jake put the gun down and punched Paul out..other than that would've made a crappy ending?

Yeah, I think it's when the whole situation with him refusing the money took place. And maybe he planned it that way so that 1) it'd draw less suspicion to him and his team, and 2) he might've somehow owed those guys a favor...or vice-versa.

?

I'm sure the bathtub murder was Alonzo's backup plan if Jake didn't accept the money. I doubt it was something Alonzo suddenly thought up in the car.

It would have been suspicious for Jake to have 3-5 bullet holes in the back of his skull. Plus they could have traced the bullets back to alonzo's guy's guns.

That's a good point..But wasn't Alonzo going to pop him when he had the shotgun pointed at him, right before Jake took the gun from him? Or was that just a scare tactic?

Whether it was a scare tactic or not, having the shotgun grabbed from his hands wasn't good for Alonzo. But what do I know, it's just a movie :p.
