Hey everyone. I have an assignment to interview a trainer of an organization that was due a few days ago. I tried e-mailing two trainers but they never got back to me. I was wondering if any trainers in the AT community could help me answer a few questions...

What prompted you to become a trainer?
Do you specialize in a specific area?
How long have you been a trainer?
Do you enjoy your job?
Is it a rewarding career?
Do you conduct a needs assessment? If so, how do you do it?
What techniques do you use to motivate your trainees (WIIFM)?
What kind of evaluation techniques do you use? (Smile sheets, interviews?)
What do you do if your trainees are not grasping the material/concept?
What are the biggest challenges that you face with respect to training?
What is your opinion about team training?
Do you use technology-assisted (mediated instruction) training, i.e. Web-based, CBT? If so, what methods, experience, do you use/have?
Do you think visual aids/handouts are beneficial or distracting at times?
What has to be done every year to stay on the cutting edge of training?
Is there anything else about training that would help me understand what this career involves?

Feel free to PM me or e-mail me if there are any questions. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!! :):)
