I just can't wrap my head around if you're in modern japan with all this modern science. Why send a bunch of samurais and ninjas with swords to kill Wolverine when he's most vulnerable? Send tanks and assassins with bombs and RPGs

i suspect its a tie into the hand clan and Silver Samurai

the deadpool in the move was a joke.

they are making a read deadpool movie. from what i read its more based off the comic then the idiotic one they had in the movie.

Last I heard, Ryan Reynolds said that there is a Deadpool script, but they probably won't make the movie. The biggest problem is that it would most likely have to be rated R for it to be a proper Deadpool movie. After The Watchmen, I don't know if anyone will gamble with a possibly pricey rated R comic book movie like that.

I am not certain it can work. His being somewhat aware he is in a comic book; how the hell do you pull that off well? I just do not think that will play with general audiences. The wise cracks have that cheesy 80's action movie vibe too. It will probably feel stale at best, or at worst, like Johnny Storm in the FF flicks.

I don't know... all of the stuff that I've read seems that they don't want to make another Hulk movie. They realize the popularity of him from the Avengers movie, but they also realize that he worked so well because of the other cast members. The Hulk is hard on his own because he's more of a monster. Ang Lee took a good approach when he did The Hulk, but the problem is that he went full-drama and forgot that he was still doing a comic book movie. The Edward Norton movie was okay.

"When he's most vulnerable, he's most dangerous", err, no, it doesn't work like that. Someone who is invulnerable can take any risk.

That would be nice to see. I wouldn't imagine that a Deadpool movie would be expensive enough to make a R rating that worrisome.

I've actually been getting back into comic books recently, and I've found it to be rather painful. Like I started reading DC's New 52 Green Lantern, and since it starts at volume 1, I expected that I would be fine just reading it. Well, even though it's a beginning, it still took everything that happened prior to it into account. Fortunately, after I watch comic book movies, I normally have a Wikipedia binge where I read up on the heroes. So, when I started seeing things like the Indigo Tribe or Blackhand, I actually knew who they were.

The easiest to read so far has probably been DC's Aquaman. Although, I'm a bit disappointed in the action drawings. As a rather avid manga reader, I've noticed that there's a big difference between someone that can draw and someone that can draw action well and in a discernible manner. I'm still not 100% sure what Aquaman did to take out those weird piranha-like fishmen. I'm really digging the new Batman though, and my volume 2 came in yesterday. I only got to read the first chapter, but it was damn good. They actually used an interesting mechanic of having Bruce use an optic-based facial recognition system during a party, which allowed them to introduce characters that other people might not know (Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Dick Grayson as Nightwing, etc.). Although, I'm still not sure who the red-masked guy was at the end of issue 8.

EDIT:

Oh, The Flash (New 52) isn't too bad either. I mostly read things in collected volumes, and I'm not sure where they're going to go with the whole Planet of the Apes storyline. o_O

The Hulk needs a good opponent to make it a good movie.

In the comics many of the superheroes battled the Hulk and they were the best stories.

Of course the problem was always the Hulk is so strong no one except Thor could stand up to him face to face.

Problem is that Hulk was designed as a universe breaker. He is literally invincible and will ALWAYS win a straight up fight. He was designed that way.

What kind of enemy can you pit against that? The Avengers toned it down a little bit. Can't jump for miles anymore and his strength seems to be toned down. But that is also possibly because he wasn't "really" angry when he transformed.

Hell the abomination was clearly stronger than the hulk at the start of the fight, but the hulk just got REALLY angry and spanked his ass.

What the fuck? So...they ran X-men into the ground.

Then made a Wolverine spin-off. Which sucked.

So now they're making another spin-off...about Wolverine.

What kind of brain-damaged five-year-old amnesiac greenlit this?

I had no idea Jackman was over 6 feet tall. I thought he was Tom Cruise's height. I was watching this movie with my wife last night. She said the daughter in the movie is a NY-based Japanese model irl and she's like 6 feet. I thought Wolverine is supposed to be small...

welcometo 6yrs ago when jack was casts to play wolverine.
everyone said he was wrong for the part becauise he was too tall.
(yes, wolverine is short in comics.)

7 movies and $1B later, he's still here.
his contract is over. the studio is throwing a BOATLOAD of $$$ at him to resign for another 5yrs but he's undecided. its a lot of work to maintain that body plus its difficult to do other roles.

Im interested to see Peter Linkage (midget from Game of thrones) play wolverine. :p
(goto the other extreme of too short)

Just rented the wolverine on DVD. While my coffee machine is making coffee, i put the film on pause.
I liked the first wolverine movie. I know i am going to enjoy this movie as well.
I am doing up till now.
What a great easter so far. My servo controller idea turned into a combination of software and hardware works.
I just finished a meridionale pizza.
I have an electrical coffee bean grinder. The coffee is really a lot more tasteful. The only thing missing is whipped cream in my coffee. A mistake i will have to correct tomorrow. :D

Must i be the only one who liked the Ang Lee version ?

Spider Man v Wolverine was an awesome comic. As for this movie, it is way better than the first one in the opinion of my wife and I. First one wasn't horrible, but this one was bad ***.

Yeah, it is indeed a good movie. Different from the first movie but that gives me a fresh feeling. I enjoyed it very much.
And something happens in this movie at the end that asks for another wolverine movie. Or perhaps it is solved in xmen days of future past. (I am not going to spoil it for people who still have to see this movie.)
