Traffic to Las Vegas from San Diego and LA

What's the traffic like going from San Diego to Vegas early friday afternoon (starting between noon and 2). I'm assuming that the traffic is better the earlier you start.

How about the traffic from LA to Vegas on Saturday? I'd be leaving somewhere between 8 and noon.

I left from Riverside at 8am. Saturday once. It was very light. Now when I went back at noonish. Sunday...only took me 10 hours.
