I am the guy who wrote this thread a week ago:
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=38&threadid=863117&highlight_key=y&keyword1=ticket

Well, I got a letter yesterday saying I am REQUIRED to appear in court because of
A. Speeding
B. No proof of insurance

As discussed in the other thread, I do have insurance but didn't have the card with me.
I was thinking of going to the clerk's office and show them proof of insurance and get the ticket dropped.
However, the letter said the clerk cannot make any decision and ONLY the judge can make decisions.

This really sucks because it looks like I have to spend a whole day in court.
Can anybody tell me how the court procedures work?
What do I have to do?

From what I know, I have to either plead guilty or not guilty.
When the judge asks if I plead guilty or not guilty on the no proof of insurance charge, do I plead guilty even if I did and do have insurance?

Also, is there any way to make a deal and NOT see the judge?

Any help is appreciated.
