Trading on FS/FT + Bday present.

I was planning on getting two sticks of 512mb ram for my computer for my 21st on March 5th. Then I thought I could just get a 3.06 gHz P4 and either sell or trade my 2.4B P4 for a 512mb stick of ram and buy one for myself. I won't be able to do the trade until I get my new chip and switch it out. So how early should I put up my FS/FT and what precautions do I have to take?

Nothing pisses me off more than people who list something and then turn around and say they can't send it until they get their new items in.

Do not list it until you are able to ship it out.

Yeah, but I would want to make it a quick deal so I can get everything in. How fast do things usually trade/sell? 1 week? 1 month?
