They had some weird orange dip...from bulgaria too...not bad....

What the hell it was and who went into makign the jar I do not know....

I'll tell ya what NOT to get....

I forget the brand-name, but they were huge tortillas to make burritos with.
They looked awesome in the package.... but tasted like solid flour. Worst tortillas I've ever had.

Other than that, most of the stuff is moderate priced food aimed at yuppies.
Decent, interesting stuff that you won't find at Safeway or Albertsons.

Something I got for Xmas was a box of their dark-chocolate truffles... I recommend them HIGHLY.

We only have one in Oakland County...pretty interesting stuff, I imagine I could find some nice wines and snacks there...but the first time I went was to pick up a cheesecake (by referral). It was indeed pretty good for a relatively low price.

Trader Joe: responsible for getting me drunk with the 2-buck-chuck since 2002.
I still got a bottle of 2001 Merlot, wonder would that fetch me a profit on ebay. 🙂

wrap it in brown paper and call it "mystery wine"

They have a decent selection of random beers. that's the only reason i like them. PM Harvey...that guy lives and dies by TJ.

Great store but unless they improved the freshness lately, stay away from their chilean sea bass. It'll remind you of roseanne bar, if you know what I mean.

Btw, a tidbit not too many know, Aldi's owns them (atleast the brothers who own Aldi's own them too.) I don't know if they are on the west coast - Aldi's is a small inexpensive grocery store that is great for buying some items, while bad for others (generic quality stock). Aldi's is one of the largest grocery store chains in the world.
