The first time I messaged a friend through a BBS I thought it was the most badass thing ever
 
Met my best friend in that game. Threaten to blow up his planet if he didnt come off it and fight me like a man. He refused, So i attempted to land destroyed all his fighter on the planet. The inploded that thing with him on it. Been best friends with him ever since.
 
Hard to explain, But it was the first online type of rpm game I ever played. It was played on things called BBS... Bulletin Board System.... You basically used you modem and called up a local or long distance server. Most of the time it was some guy with like 2-10 phone lines in his house. You would access his files and games. I remember my dad running one, and back in the day he was all excited about having a 6 disk changer in his computer.
