ok I read a little. when is the USPS supposed to deliver it? are you freaking out because it didn't arrive today? is the insurance claim purely hypothetical? he doesn't owe you anything extra. stop saying how cool you are. the problem is with the USPS, not the other trader.

USPS attempted to deliver on the 16th, theyve been holding it at the post office since then and havent tried to redeliver.

The insurance claim WAS hypothetical.

Cliffs it, you should know better than to post that garbage.

I took a quick read through it but I'm still confused.

You got your $50, he got the chip. Your chip was delayed in the mail and is currently at your post office but you're refusing to pick it up and want him to pay you $15?

1) Go pick up your CPU
2) Grow the fvck up

Correct me if I'm missing anything here but the seller doesn't owe you anything for a USPS problem.

wow, no way in hell am I reading all that. But is the mail looses it and he files a claim and refunds your money I don't see where you would be entitled to extra $$$. As he said pretty plainly... not his fault. Sh!t happens.

No no, I am not staying I want an extra $15. He said he will get an extra $30 out of filing the insurance claim. All I am saying is that I think in all fairness he should split that with me. My problem isn't actually the money, its the fact that I have been really quite nice to this guy and traded him something that I could have done better with just selling it on ebay, and then when he says he will get something out of the insurance, I was just saying I think he should split that. I don't really care about the money.

WTF is your problem OP? You miss delivery of a chip and somehow that's his problem? You are retarded. Please stop buying/selling stuff online ASAP.

No he shouldn't. It would be nice if he did but you were such an ass in the exchange above I would have told you to go piss up a rope.

OK where is your CPU right now?

If it's at the post office go pick it up and quit your bitching.

If it's lost, & he files insurance, what he "profits" from it is his own damn business. If he insured it for more than the value he traded it for that's just smart planning on his part.

OK, now I dont know what to do (I am btw the other end of this transaction.)

He says:
Dude, I want my money or my chip, I don't want to do business with you, I just want whats mine. I can't go to the post office, I can't even leave the house as I recently had surgery and can't get around. Just get me my money or my chip. If I don't get my money or my chip with 3 weeks expect negative heat.

What can I do? I dont have cash to send, usps has the chip. In 3 weeks maybe USPS will have returned the chip to me or I can file a claim, but what if not? What do I do?

I would insure something for that amount also, cause if it got lost I'd be the one screwed. I would have told you that up front, before I shipped. Then if you weren't home and it wasn't redelivered, you should go to the post office and pick it up. I would have went and got it, hell with waiting for a month for them to redeliver, even if that wasn't part of the deal.

Cliff notes would be nice, then he could add his also.

3 weeks will make it 5 weeks total. More then enough time to wait, and you gave me a tracking number, which does not indicate you actually shipped anything but a box until i get it.

fvck him. it isn't your fault the chip got lost or whatever. if you need to file an insurance claim, it takes however long it takes. such is the risk of trading through the mail. he can wait, and if he leaves you negative heat it shouldnt' be a problem to get it removed.

Jake,

If you can't leave your house to go to the post office then give your local post office a call and provide your address/delivery confirmation number and ask them to attempt to deliver it again. Or if you got an orange slip from the post office, just mark it on the back for "re-delivery" and leave it by your mailbox.

I did mark the form as re-deliver. On 2/17
