Any fantasy baseball players here?

I got this offer and I'm thinking about doing it...should I pull the trigger?

I have a pretty good 1b already, but Giambi will be a good backup.

I have:

M. Piazza (SD - C) J. Varitek (Bos - C)
L. Berkman (Hou - 1B,OF) P. Konerko (CWS - 1B)
C. Figgins (LAA - 2B,3B,OF)
D. Wright (NYM - 3B) M. Mora (Bal - 3B)
J. Rollins (Phi - SS) C. Barmes (Col - SS)

Who is your current 1b? Who else do you have a closer? What are the scoring cats?

Need some more info to make a good decision...

To early in the season to know of Giambi will be worth while or not. He was really sucking last season until the last three months. Personally I would keep Gagne.

two closers in an 8 team league is not enough. EVERYONE will have at least 2 some will have three. having one closer is suicide.

I updated my pitching staff, please check original post

Also, how do you know if someone is a closer? will yahoo tell me that?

goto yahoo sports, click on 'mlb', click on 'teams', pick a team, click on 'depth chart' and it'll tell you in there on the right.

edit: example of what you should see

cool!

These are the available closers left to pick up. compared to my pitchers, are any of them worth picking and who to drop?

closers

Chris Reitsma

Joe Borowski

David Weathers

Mike González

Tim Worrell

Dan Miceli

Ambiorix Burgos

id go reitsma. hasnt looked that sharp yet but has managed to knock down 2 saves. it could be opening week jitters. braves usually play a close game also and are in a pretty weak division so he'll get a good number of opportunities.

You already have 1 (and a half with Berkman) first basemen. No way I'd give up Gagne for Giambi who's still a question mark....

give up now if you don't know who is/isn't a closer!!

but as far as a helpful response, it looks like gagne will be out for a fair portion of the season. get the most that you can for him and pick up the best closer you can from the waivers. you NEED more than one closer in a head-to-head league.
