Anyone here trade their cable internet connection for 4G through their carrier?

Speedtest.net is showing that my 4G connection on my iPhone 5c is faster than my wired cable connection. Price to add hotspot functionality to my phone is about half what I pay cable company for service each month.

I don't game frequently enough to need an extremely low ping time or anything, though average ping times between the two services are about the same. I can see the cell tower that hosts the carriers 4G antennas from my from porch.

Anyone do this and regret it?

How much data do you use in an average month? Ever do any streaming video or large downloads? If so, you can easily go over the bandwidth limit on your phone contract and that can become VERY expensive.

Good point. I need to dig into the specifics on my plan and see what "truly unlimited" means I guess.

Also "speed" <> "latency" 12 Mbps @ 100ms is typically poor than even 2Mbps at 5ms except in pure bulk download.
