The stop error 0x0000008E usually indicates some sorts of incompatible issues. And the problem might be caused by your video card driver, as the ati3duag.dll file is part of the drivers for the ATI video card.
On the game launcher, click Configure and then Bench. You may try to run a bench to see if the video card driver can handle the game properly. If problem still exists, please visit you video card manufacturer's website, and update all necessary drivers. Remember the safest way to update drivers is to uninstall the current drivers (you can uninstall the current video card drive using a piece of software called Driver Cleaner:
