Tracking info on Newegg says delivered

The tracking info I got from Newegg for my new monitor says that it was delivered today around 1:00. My father is retired and was home all day and said it was never delivered. So who do I call or email to find out why it says something was delievered when it obviously wasn't.

FYI I used whatever the Newegg standard shipping is. I think 3 days UPS.

UPS does that from time to time. They did this at my job and we were looking for our package for hours. Then, about 2 hours later, the UPS guy comes from teh door. We complained to UPS and we have never seen that driver again.

I sure hope they wouldn't leave a $400 LCD monitor outside my door. And seeing as I didn't see any packages outside as I drove up, I'm assuming not.

Edit: or rather I'm really hoping not because if it's not there and they did leave it outside my door, I will hurt someone.

UPS does that alot - not newegg's fault they do tho. Newegg gets its tracking info from UPS, so if UPS says "delivered" newegg repeats it to you, meaning if UPS is lying.... yeah

check outside your door - otherwise, complain to UPS

Yes, UPS will leave a $400 LCD monitor outside your door. Sometimes they will not even knock even if they know you are there.

That's the way they have always operated. That's why I've always preferred FedEx, but they are starting to do the same things now.

I've had that happen to me.

Look over on the neighbor's porch and see if it's sitting there. Happened to me 2 days in a row.

I was expecting packages from amazon, and I look over and see big amazon boxes on their porch... went over, checked the labels... sure enough, all me. I probably looked like a big theif.

Yeah, it's amazing what UPS has left on my porch;). They left a complet desktop computer ($1500) on my porch once at 10:30am, I found it when I got home at 9pm:disgust: They did the exact same thing with a laptop and a $900 jewelry item

Could be your father, being old and hard of hearing, or on the crapper, or something, didn't answer the door so they delivered to a neighbor. I've had that happen before.

and that was fedex.

i've also had dhl leave things under the doormat. not an envelope, mind you, but something large.

I once ordered a game from (UNDISCLOSED) and they didnt ask me how to ship it. With the names they used for their shipping method it sounded like regular USPS. SO entered in my PO box.
Now, not only did the aforementioned company not contact me to check on this, but it turns out they gave it to UPS. UPS TOOK THE PACKAGE! Then sent it on its way.
A few days later as I'm checking with the company to find out what the heck happened to my box, they tell me UPS has already delivered it.
???
After a few more hours of phone tag, UPS says they dropped it off at XXX address in town.
Now my PO Box is 934, which was not even close to the address they claim to have delivered it. I have no idea where they got the street name from either.
So I fire up MapQuest and track the house down. Drive over and as I'm walking up the driveway I see an opened box sitting by the front door with my game in it. An old fellow opens the front door, looks right at me and says "you wouldnt happen to be Shorty Lickens would you?" (Names changed to protect the innocent.)
I said heck yeah, and is that mine.
The elderly gent was very disturbed as to how he could have recieved such a package.
I turn it around and sure enough, there is a label with the words "PO Box 934" on it.
It would seem UPS just dropped it off at a convenient locale in town, rather than call and correct the issue.

Conclusion?
I avoided that company AND the people in brown from then on.

END RANT

Ok, apparantly they did deliver it, and just left it outside. AND, it wasn't stolen. Whoever delivered it apparantly moved the trash cans in front of it so that it was completely obscured unless you really looked (hidden between trash cans and bushes, hard to notice unless you walk part way around back). Woulda been nice had they just knocked on the door, my father shoulda been home.

All's well that ends well though. Thanks all.

UPS drops and runs all the time at my house. Even if I'm home with the garage door open.. they usually don't even bother to ring the doorbell. The only reason I know theres something there is when the dog goes crazy..

UPS has two modes of operation:
Smash the package, and hide the package. Very rarely will you find an intact package in a place that it should be.
