100% legal to tell us the IP.

IP are just numbers not the other type of IP (Intellectual Property).

Numbers are free :)

I have identified the culprit from the information posted above. For just $39.99, I will not only tell you who I have identified as the culprit but provide the software that I used.

If he's smart he used a proxy and you can probably forget about tracking him down.

I'm sure he/she is not smart enough to do that. It's just slandering on the internet. He/she has no idea you can trace them.

Not always true.

Thats why I put the word probably in there.

I think you should (probably) post up the IP and let people go to work on it.

So I couldn't do much on my own so here's the IP. 152.163.253.100

Have fun and post info here or PM. If posting IPs isn't allowed, mods please take it off.

I did an NSlookup and its an aol account.

Ha. Good luck finding out who it is since AOL support is useless.

the only one who knows for sure is the ISP

if he's on dial-up, PPPoe etc... he has a new IP every times he connects so even if you find some info about this particular IP, it's possible that you are looking for the wrong dude

I thought everyone knew that the entire 152.xxx block is AOL. You are screwed because AOL does not care. Ever.

But if you really wanna try the e-mail is abuse@aol.com

I don't see how that would help to have an IP address unless hte ISP gets involved. For example, I have a router set up at home and 3 computers on the Internet. Now when I want a new IP address I go into my router settings, click on "disconnect" and then click on "connect" at which point I have a new IP address. The only person who could match up the IP address given during a spedific time frame would be the ISP. And I HIGHLY doubt they will get involved for something as small as this (at least in their eyes it's small)
