Tracking file share access...

Is it possible to track, on a shared folder on a network, who is tapping into the folder and downloading from it? I mean something similar to the way FTP logs who the user/password/computer is logging into a computer, is it possible to do this on an office share? And can it be done without a login? I have windows 2003 as well as XP but can use a linux distro if need be.

This. It tends to be a bit overkill but it will accomplish what you want.
