Tracking a phone number back to a person/address

I work for a school and yesterday one of our teachers was part of a phone call with a lady who we suspected was being beat by her husband. We asked the police to investigate, but apparently our word wasn't enough and they won't. We have no idea who the lady was and would like to contact her and see if we can help. Any idea how we can trace the phone number back?

If you type the number in Google, it also returns at the top of the results the reverse-lookup on the phone number, so you get the name. That makes it easy for me, because Opera integrates a Google searchbar right in the window.
