Yeah. It's like, the same thing as the previous one. It's pretty entertaining, then it get's boring (for me).

If you don't like it at first, just give it a chance. Remember, it's a time battle racer. It can be pretty intense. Why am I not playing it right now? It's not like I have any other games I like at all (goes and plays).

I've been playing it non-stop. I'm currently 1st in my state and like 36th in the country. Can't beat free.

I just installed it earlier, played through about 5-6 tracks solo. It might be a fun game for some multiplayer action, if the tracks get more complex than the uber short ones I've been racing on so far. As a stand alone game though, I don't think I can play it for much more than 30 minutes at a time.

I'm loving it, as I've always been a fan of the Trackmania games. We need to get a group going.

Im having an issue installing. I click "Install Game" in steam and it just reloads the page.

Does the one lonyo posted have starforce?

Edit: Nevermind, restarted steam and it's downloading away!

I can't stop playing this game. Online competition is extremely tough, but racing against the computer is a blast.

I just started playing this a few days ago; what a blast! Pretty simple game overall, but it's a lot of fun and definitely a challenge going for the gold medals against the computer or when playing against online competition. Also you can create your own maps.

Easily one of the most fun free games I've played in a long time.

I wish I had fooled with the track editor earlier. Powerful editors usually aren't this easy.

only complaint: every once in a while I'll try to slam left into a turn and my wheels will go right. I'm seeing others complain of it so I don't believe it's a controller problem. Annoying bug.

Did anyone else have the bug where it wouldn't actually launch after installing via Steam? I had to get a missing DX9 dll and put it in the game's data folder.
I like it, though.

Does anyone know what kind of DRM the free non-Steam version has?

I love these kinds of games in general, but there is no way I'm getting it if it has Starforce in it. (they say they removed it, but I don't know if they replaced it with something else like Securom)

I installed it through Steam and all I kept getting was a black screen with 'Please wait...'

I waited about 5-10 mins and nothing happened so I gave up on the game.

Are you on Vista64? If so, a little birdie helped me out and told me to install the latest DX update here: http://www.microsoft.com/downl...7ed1a91&DisplayLang=en and it got me up and running.

you sure? I heard the Steam version is Starforce free but that they're still pulling that crap with the stand alone...although I also heard you can remove the malware with no effect on the game...
