Tracing IP through a Gmail email

Is there any way for a person to find my IP through a sent Gmail email?

No, there isn't. Well, not electronically anyway. The message header would indicate what server it was sent from(the gmail server),gmail would have a record of the ip address the message came from. One could contact gmail, get that info, then contact your ISP and find out what subscriber was assigned that IP at the time the message was sent. You get the picture.
