TPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Features 16+6+7 Phase Power Delivery on 14-Layer PCB"


Please can someone explain to me what this means? The "16+6+7" bit for example, the 14-layer PCB, is NVIDIA still sticking with their splodey power connector, why "12V-2×6 power connector design" is also mentioned... lots of things really!
 
I'm surprised that someone hasn't chimed in yet, but I came across another article describing a newer than 12VHPWR PCIE power connector (nvidia splodey type) called "12V-2x6" which apparently is replacing 12VHPWR.
