The only use I found tp-link is in my car. the hardware is tiny enough to tuck away in my glovebox which is where my AUX input is as well. So I can stream my 64 gig thumb drive full of music or anyone else who wants to stream from their cell phone.

I'm confused; how exactly do you fit this 3G/4G wireless N router in your glovebox?

Welcome to the forums, phasseshifter. According to TP-Link the HUAWEI E3131 is compatible with Optus ISP. Here's the TP-Link page with the list of compatible 3G/4G modems for Australia:

http://www.tp-link.com/lk/support/3g-comp-list/?model=TL-MR3420

You can download the Huawei E3131 Quick Start guide here:

http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/products/manuals/detail/e3131-en.htm?id=13613

Here's the page for Optus Moblie Broadband Devices:

http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/mobilebroadband

You'll find the contact info for Optus Sales on this page:

http://www.optus.com.au/shop/support/answer?answerId=1459&question=How%20to%20Contact%20Sales&typeId=2

I'd suggest you contact Optus Sales and confirm that the Huawei E3131 is in fact compatible. Despite the fact that TP-Link says that it is compatible, it's not listed on the Optus Moblie Broadband Devices page.

Sorry, I apparently misunderstood your OP. So you've already purchased the TL-MR3420G and the E3131, you now have them properly setup and connected with Optus, and you wanted to share the steps you took to configure these devices? You may want to contact one the admins and ask them if they would please move your post to Networking.
