Interesting. Good to see these coming down in price, but I'm still wondering if the use-case for sfp+ dac and a CRS305 would win out over a 2.5Gbps setup for this small of a port density as 2.5Gbps are still pricey compared to sfp+ 10Gb, and dacs are pretty cheap too. Of course for a copper infrastructure 2.5Gb is pretty much the only way to go unless you've got 6a in the walls.

Cat 6 can do 5Gb and 10Gb as well, just not as far...up to 55 meters though, but honestly that should be enough for most apartments/houses I would think.

I cancelled my order. Not because of anything to do with the product, but I just have to stop these impulse-buys...

The price is decent, though. Sigh.

(Already have a pair of the 8-port TrendNet models with 2.5gbe.)
