Toyota's Texas raid could pose threat to Detroit

I can't wait until the titan comes out - It'll put comparable trucks from ford and chevy to shame 😛

Now, I'm going to be starting a "Donate to rbloedow because his ass is poor and you would like to see him drive a nice vehicle" fund very shortly, can I could on your guys to donate?

It might put them to shame, but I don't think many people around here will give up their Fords and Chevys. I like the Tundra, but I think it would be weird seeing a Toyota driving down the highway towing bales of hay and what not.

I understand and partially agree with what you say. 🙂 But I'll say this:

If Toyota (or Honda for that matter!) could build an equivalent to the F250/F350, a literal equivalent, I'd buy it. Gotta be a V8, maybe even a diesel. Gotta have a 4WD option. Gotta have solid axles front and rear.

Remember that even though it may says Toyota, it will still be American Made😀

agree completely 😛

Well at least they will be American built.

Well Texan built anyways.

Still it's better than being built in Mexico.....I think.

yea, but what makes the toyota better is the americans didnt touch the engineering aspect of the truck.

I am sure the whole turck was engineered over in japan, anyone can make they parts but they designed them. As of right now I hate domestic cars cause everyone I owned or driven or someone I know that has had one break down very early in its life. Mostly fords.

LOL, own this own that

have any of you even hooked a trailor brake unit up, or locked a hub in your lives? How about even turn a wrench under the hood of a truck.

Maybe do some of these before you talk of who is gonna own who

Yes but many domestic full size trucks are built in USA, just look at the VIN #... I bought mine with a 1 as the first digit, guess what a 1 is 😉

The old Toyota pickup I had was a very utilitarian vehicle. Not full size, just a V6 with a small cab, but the thing just would not die, and could haul a lot of crap for it's size. (Did as well as my Dakota, except it is still running at the Dakota died at 90k 🙁)

I'm pretty sure my truck has put up with more abuse then your car will see in it's lifetime and it's just fine. The tranny rated at 360lbs of torque has been doing fine with 570lbs of torque and that includes the stress of towing in 4x4.

Who else wants some?
