Toyota has its collective head on straight let me tell you.

I read the 'Can Anything Stop Toyota' in business week a couple of weeks ago. That company is doing so many cool things and gets its workers involved in every way.

i'm also biased cuz i own one :)

Toyota's ROCK. until they started making some of the models in America. Now the quality has gone to the toilet.

<--- puts on anti-pro-American flames suit made in Japan.

Always good looking and dependable but also consistently underpowered. They need to throw a twin turbo in that thing!

Just read that article. Damn, no wonder Japanese are considered the leader in the auto industry. Read at this forum a long time ago that it took a Japanese car company (Toyota?) 30 minutes to turn a production line making sedans into trucks, while it took months for American companies to do the same. THAT's efficiency.

I had a camry that was built in Japan. The transmission was out at 87000 miles. So much for your whack theory

No idea what you're talking about here. If anything, they have probably gotten more reliable over the years.

nissan's truck is really tough as long as you do not have to tow or strain the rear axle. At least they put disc brakes on it so the axle shaft wont bounce off every time the shaft snaps.

Hey Nissan breath, the Double Cab was out before the Titan even hit the streets (and the Tundra DC is also larger than the Titan, but does come with a wimpier engine). And the Tundra has been around since '99 ;)

If I were getting at truck for light duty work, I'd no doubt take Toyota reliability and quality over Nissan's first hack at a full-size truck.

Who would have thought: Nissan and Toyota battle for last place? :D Add Honda in the mix too with their car based pickup (WTF?)
