Why is it that every single time there is a recall thread, foreign or domestic, people assume that it's perfectly indicative of the overall quality of the brand?

Save your generalizations for the '90s Focus which EARNED its recalls 🙂

Maybe, but it makes you think....."what kind of quality are we buying when we buy toyota?"

Probably better than anything you'll get when yo 'buy American' like you're told.

wow a little late to the party eh? i expected your type a little faster.

boy have i missed these arguements.

to bad so far AFAIK the new Tahoe hasnt had a recall, and being a new model, they should have quite a few, or lots of issues, but my dad has had only one, and it was one i pointed out. the only other issue is if you put 200lbs of force on an armrest, it sorta doesnt hold up.

Well, maybe after they sell a million of them, in say...100 years or so, it will have had one or perhaps one fifty.

Are you just saying that because MIKEMIKE is the OP?

I think there was some sarcasm laced in that post my friend.

I forget the exact years, but the Focus that had a crapload of recalls for years and years and years, and then suddenly they fixed everything and it was a decent car.

I guess I'm behind the times...I still think of 2000 as being "very recent".
