The newest edition of the Toyota Camry is being recalled for a problem with the transmission. The problem, Toyota says, involved only a half-percent of Camrys built thus far for the 2007 model year. The new six-speed automatic transmission could lose second and sixth gear during operation. Toyota told Reuters the vehicle still will operate even if the gears are lost, and that the problem usually happens within the first 500 miles of use.

Not a big deal.

I'd call for a boycott of American cars if GM pulled a stunt like this though.

did you know my car, a 96 camaro, has NO recall issues by GM? now does that mean that my make/model car doesn't have any problems that warrents a recall, or GM being lazy and cheap in issuing one?

It's built in America.
So it's American quality at its finest

So then I guess people should stop considering every "import" built in America an import?

Its a Japanese company, but its not an import. Japanese parts and plans dont make it an import. And yes it was the JAPANESE PARTS AND PLANS THAT FAILED.
