i paid a hair over $24,000 for the L package..

L package plus AM/FM/6CD, rear spoiler, fog lights, larger tires (p235/60R16), 4wide mudflaps, carpeted branded floormats, roof rack, full alarm, 6yr 100Kmile protection...

the instrument panel is "champaign" in color... and when you turn the lights on, it glows orange... how cool is that!

hehe... werk... the car happend to come in on a Columbian boat ;) The white stuff is leftover from the other cargo on the boat..

lol... kidding... it's Snow!! freaking snowed the night my car came in.
Thank god the prep dept does a full wash/wax.

I love the RAV4...I just wish it had more power...the 180HP Celica GTS engine would do nicely and a Camry V6 would be even better.

Nice price. I'm in the market for a new vehicle, may have to check that one out!

8.4 miles???? It's used! See if you can get a discount! -.0084%?

That is nice. I'm jealous (even though I just got a new car also) :) My wife knows someone who has a RAV4, but she THINKS she owns a RAVA. Yes, that's right. This moron bought a RAV4, and STILL THINKS it's called a RAVA. I guess she can't see the difference between the 4 and the A, and the dealer had too much heart to correct her, knowing he was about to make a sale. :)

Did you get the manual version I hope? ;)

My mom has a red 2001 Auto... When cold the transmission sticks in 3rd for about a mile or so and revs to about 4000rpms to stay at 50... and she only gets like 23mpg in it being very conservative on the foot. We took it back to the dealer and they said that the transmission acts like that on all of them :(. Get ready for some 3400rpm shifts :D.

Who knows... either way Toyota's run forever. Good luck with your new car!

Bowdown,

All toyotas have always done that. It's not "sticking" or "Acting like" something.. It's a FEATURE. As you said, it's when the car is cold. When the engine is cold, it shifts later to warm up the engine faster. Higher revs=more heat produced. It works quite well.
