I can't imagine that the hybrid trucks would do much good at towing or hauling heavy items without some seriously beefed up electric motors in the wheels.

Ferraris lowest offering don't have much low end torque, yet anyone would take a Modena, right? :p

NSF4, I drove a 2004 Civic today. You're right. Those things have absolutley no balls. A new born baby boy has balls than a Honda Civic.

That said, it's not a bad highway car.

Many locomotives use a hybrid diesel-electric drive system.

There were plans to release a Hybrid NSX about 4 years ago. What came of it, no idea.

they scrapped it after they figured out they cant deliver +200mph, 0-60 in aroun 4.5 and 30mpg, and the NSX line was going to die anyway(too damn expensive, i still remember when it cost roughly 1/2 as much new).

Actually all locomotives used in the US today use diesel generators to make electricity to power the electric motors that drive the wheels, I guess you could call it hybrid but it really isn't in the context they use the word for new cars since the combustion engine NEVER drives the wheels directly as they do in hybrid cars.
