Question is if Toyota is going to keep improving the SMT or if they're just going to leave it at the current slow shifting form for mass market... saving any improvements for TRD.

I thought the MR2 had the SMT from last year? And apparently this year they fixed the problems?

No matter, I don't think the MR is offered in Canada anyway.

It's faster than a 2003 Honda Civic Si... 7 seconds isn't bad for only 140ish... especially since you've only got 2200lbs to toss around. What other cars weigh that much nowadays?? If it made 200hp :Q

They should shove the high-winding Celca GTS engine in there, or the Camry's base 155 HP 4-banger

The only other sports car in the weight class I can think of is the Lotus Elise. It was supposed to be imported to the US next year but Lotus is having financial problems...

They don't sell the Elise in the US :Q

You would think that the US is a very important market for a car like that or am I missing something
