That widebody kit is dope! Just look at that ginormous aero intake with enough swept area to inhale a medium sized dog. Just when we thought Lexus/Yota couldn't get any uglier

Yep they're hideous. I've seen a couple around here.

But I think the new Prius is even worse.

Looks pretty average to me. It's the latest styling. I do agree with you that the latest styling trends are pretty much crap. But I wouldn't put that car in even the top 100 ugliest of all time-the competition is a lot stronger than that.

And having seen a couple of the new Prius in person I must say the pictures make them look worse than they are.

Both cars fit into the "it's not so hideous" class in my book.
 
I don't think the pictures look bad, but I'd have to see one in person. At least they're interesting to look at. For a long time, you could have swapped badges between several cars from different makers, and no one would particularly notice.
 
Exterior doesn't look a whole lot different from new cars I see driving around. Neutral imo.

Interior is pretty funky though.
 
This is real? Never heard of it.

The new Prius is pretty repugnant - I can only surmise Toyota lost interest in selling them. As if hybrids weren't already a hard sell.

When most class of cars are hotly contested with refreshes hitting faster rates, the difference between gawd awful and top shelf is getting really narrow.
You can't fault someone from basing something on looks.

Aztek and the new Prius look like step siblings.

Looks are merely an eminence front for strangers who actually care about looks and don't understand that repairing body damage should be delayed until you're sure your automobile is not going to be suddenly total loss'ed. I'd buy a Prius or Aztek if the circumstances do manifest themselves. Me personally, cannot find many decent looking vehicles. Every Ford is annoying. The Corolla looks like a wannabe bling vehicle and was ugly in its previous iterations. In fact, I'd buy a DODGE or Chrysler if looks were everything because they are the closest thing be being remotely decent on looks. .

I believe the prius is the only other one they do the center gauge cluster on, and it also has a HUD which displays quite a lot of the same info in front of the driver. Looks like the Mirai has the same setup. I don't see the issue.
