Brown and orange are the trendy colors in the industry these days.

Toyota needed a vehicle like this in its lineup to compete with the Mazda CX-9 and Ford Edge and some others I can't remember offhand.

I like the styling.

Venza will also offer an Automatic High Beam headlight system, another Toyota first. When high beam headlights are in use sensors in the Automatic High Beam system will detect oncoming traffic and automatically switch the headlights to low-beam. When the Automatic High Beam sensors no longer detect oncoming traffic the system will switch the headlights back to high-beam mode.

Uhh... Jeep does that now, they call it Smartbeam

The SmartBeam system provides increased forward lighting at night by automating high beam control through the use of a digital camera mounted on the inside rearview mirror. This camera detects vehicle specific light and automatically switches from high beams to low beams until the approaching vehicle is out of view. The result is an intelligent, high-beam headlamp control system that greatly improves nighttime-driving safety. SmartBeam optimizes the use of a vehicle's headlamp system in order to provide the maximum amount of light possible for any driving scenario.

To make the transition from low to high beams and back again less distracting and more aesthetically pleasing, SmartBeam is designed to slowly fade the high beams on and off. However, if traffic suddenly appears, such as when cresting a hill or rounding a corner, the system will immediately turn off the high beams.

Exactly! Looks like the old Camry of yesteryear but since no one wants to be seen in a wagon they gussy it up.

Much like the Taurus X/Freestyle from Ford.

So a couple of thoughts............

#1.) The 2.7L i-4 is going to be "all new"?? Has anybody notified Toyota that they already make a 2.7L i-4?? :p

#2.) Any guess as to pricing??? I'll guess......

Version A (like the basic LE w/ 2.7L) ----------$24,999.

Version B (basic LE but w/ the V6) ----------- $29,999.

Version C (full-tilt w/ the cool moonroof) -----$34,999

???

P.S. Those wheels are BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!

I think because they have no where to put the shifter, since "cup holder" is what American want?

Notice only until recently, imports start to design Big Gulp size cup holder into their interiors. This is very American thing~ So we should at least appreciate their affort. :)

Take Mercedes ML class for example, the most mentioned "lack of feature" was Cup Holders! So, they have build in cup holder for current ML / GL and C class.
Otherwise, all other Mercedes' line up only come w/ the "last min" add-on cup holder.
(needless to say, they can't even hold anything larger than regular Soda can)

You're saying that they can't have a cup holder and a regularly placed shifter at the same time

oh, no. That's not what I meant.
But by looking at the interior photo again, it might not be easy to fit two cup holders + shifter at the same place; plus, I think most "family" people will want to keep that comfortable center arm rest?

Anything Toyota makes goes gold; their record sales should be a clue.

At this point, why not expand your lineup to attack every segment? Crossovers are a hot area of growth.

Uh, my parents' 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood did that :).

I guess I'm the only one that thinks the interior and exterior are both horrible. And I like the Camry its based on.
