Went to purchase a replacement for my Toy Story 2 Pack (set that includes both movies) as my 2yr old son has scratched them beyond belief and they no longer play.
Apparently these movies are no longer available for sale???
I checked Best Buy, Circuit City, and Walmart.
If you go to Disney's site it says "Not currently for sale".
http://disneyvideos.disney.go.com/moviefinder/products/2099203.html

Anybody know why?

I concur :(

Yet another reason to "back-up" your DVD collection :)

Send a note off to your senators and congresscritters pointing out how Disney's trampling of your Fair Use rights made your little boy cry.

Seriously, right now the position of MPAA member companies is:
1. You should not be allowed to make copies
2. They are under no obligation to replace damaged discs for a small fee, you're supposed to buy another copy at full price.
3. When a disc goes out of print, you're supposed to wait patiently to see whether they decide to offer a new edition, then if they do you must pay full price.

I only bought the white Toy Story 1&2 set. Didn't waste money on the toy box.

As for backing up your DVDs before owning a huge frizbee collection, go d/l DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and Nero Burning ROM. Buy a DVD burner (NEC 3520A), rip DVD to HD w/ DVD Decrypter, shrink movie to 4480MB w/ DVD Shrink, burn in DVD-Video mode (put shrinked movie in VIDEO_TS folder) w/ Nero. Done. See, you don't need to read all those guides people rave about. 3 steps does it.

uhm..how about 2 steps?
rip and shrink with DVDshrink, then burn with Nero. Its 1 step if u have an extra dvd drive, as dvdshrink has an auto burn with nero feature now.

I've read that it is better to use Decrypter, then Shrink w/ Nero :)

DVD Shrink can't crack the encryption, thus DVD Decrypter comes into play. Besides, ripping to HD first w/ DVD Decrypter puts less stress on both the DVD drive and HD, and DVD Shrink works faster if the files are on the HD.
