I was wondering if this is a valid source of news?
http://townhall.com/

I noticed today the home page of townhall.com had the lead story:

Waxman-Markey is Hilarious, but the Joke is on Us
Of all the proposals in President Barack Obama's breathtakingly ambitious agenda to foster long-term economic decline, by far the biggest is the Waxman-Markey energy-rationing bill, which the House of Representatives passed with the narrowest of majorities late Friday evening.

Seems to me maybe this is some kind of biased site but I am not sure.
Help me to decide.
thanks.

The site seems to be a collection of writings by conservative columnists with political news thrown in. If you are conservative you'll probably enjoy it but if you are liberal you will probably hate it.

Would you consider it a valid source for news?

Yes and No. LIke everything it depends on content and the author. Say if it is a story about a rape case at Duke University written a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington I would think it is a valid source.

And when its written by someone like this:

Mike Adams wrote this story.
Lets look at his columns:

"Get Back in the Kitchen"
http://townhall.com/columnists...et_back_in_the_kitchen

feminists will not be allowed to offer even mild criticisms of those who disagree with them. Last semester, a feminist student was talking to one of her friends when she said ?I want abortion on demand. I hope the bigots will just keep their laws off my body.? Since I oppose abortion, for obvious religious reasons, it offended me when she made that statement. That is why I am banning any such statements for the duration of the semester. Even mild criticism of my beliefs offends me. No other reason need be offered. Just shut up and comply with the rule

Get Back in the Closet

Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered students (GILBERTS) need to pay especially close attention.

First of all, GILBERTS will not be allowed to mention their status as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or trans-gendered
GILBERTS will not be allowed to offer even mild criticisms of those who disagree with them.

Did you read the part where he says it's political satire? Obviously not.

Remember this is coming from somebody who goes to a website with this blazen across the top The Source for Conservative Political News, Cartoons, Issues and Blogs and then asks if it has a bias. We arent dealing with the brightest bulb in the room. Or he is just trolling as usual.

And yet the OP uses it as news source and defends posting it.
I think you are missing the point.

So a criminology professor writes a column about an incident at Duke University that, if you go back to my thread, was shown to have aired on CNN, that suddenly it is not a viable news source because it is not on your approved list of websites?

Go play nintendo or something.
