I was visiting my GF this weekend at her apartment complex and apparently they have a rule that visitors must park in a special parking lot. I didn't and they towed my car. I had to go to this ghetto and get my car back from people that seem to represent the scum of the earth. They were dirty and disgusting. They pretty much looked and acted like bottom feeders.

FU Towing Companies!!!

How are they scum? You knew damn well you're not suppose to park there and I can 99% guarantee there was a sign posted that you will get towed if parked illegally. Don't blame others for your stupidity.

The job I do isn't purely designed to take advantage of people and removing their only available transportation. It's a shady business and I wouldn't want any part of it.

Eaglekeeper, we are both accountants so I will let you slide on this one :)

So because they dont dress and look like you that makes them horrible people? Ever think that maybe people who work in a salvage/tow yard might now wear suits to work? Or is it because they were just doing their job that ended up inconveniencing you?

WTF are you talking about? You parked where you were not suppose to, so the apartment complex called and had your car towed.

No, they pretty much stole my car. As far as I am concerned, when someone takes my property without my permission they are thieves.

I spoke to the apartment complex, no one called from their. The towing company came on their own.

Their job is enforcing a particular rule of the University.
You are an idiot and can't follow the rules.
They do their job.
You lose.
Actually we lose because we have to skip over your threads outlining your idiocy.

The apartment complex does not have anything to do with the university. It is a separate entity.

Another resident likely called or it is an area they keep an eye on.

Either way it was still your mistake.

Which, I would say, is what the apartment complex wants them to do.

Then don't park your property on someone else's property without their permission.

You parked your car on an unauthorized place (someone else's property). They thought you are a thief for using their space. So they are fine too. (Towing company was probably asked to enfore the parking)

I was a guest of a paying resident. This was just a blatant money grab.

As such there is a designated parking area for you. You were not parked in it, thus you were towed.

Who didn't park in the correct parking lot, a fool and his money are soon parted.

You lose - I am a self employed S/W engineer.

The company is contracted by the apartment complex to ensure that there are parking spaces for the residents.

The residents should notify guests of any parking restrictions if they are not posted.

The towing company is enforcing the rules, just like the police stop/pick up DUI and speeders.

Just because you were a guest of apaying resident doesnt mean you dont have to follow the rules. You parked where you were not suppose to park and your car got towed. Would you be making this thread if you parked in a handicapt spot and your car got towed?

I would not equate parking in the wrong spot to speeding and DUI's. You lose and that is a foolish comparision.

Oh for farks sake, substitute apartment for University. Same principle.
You can't possibly be this ignorant.
The towing company monitors the lots.
Bottom line, You were parked somewhere you weren't supposed to be and got caught. Why is this so hard for you to grasp?
