Tow trucks working with meter maids getting ridiculous

Almost got hit by THREE tow trucks weaving around each other and pedestrian traffic just now, all 3 of them turning left through a red light at 14th st and 8th ave, all 3 racing to tow the same car a block & a half from there, arriving and hooking up a car while the meter maid was still writing the ticket.

Perfect! Be pissed at the drivers for the system that makes each car so profitable for them to feel like they should race each other to it.
