Touristy things to do in Sydney

My father's coming to spend a week with me while I spend a semester in Sydney, Australia. While you'd think I'd know of tons of things for us to do, I really only know college related stuff (bars, my general suburb). I'll be using him visiting as an excuse to do all the tourist-y things that I wouldn't otherwise do or haven't been able to find people to do them with. I'll obviously consult some travel guides, but was wondering if any ATOTers had especially memorable moments from their trips to Sydney. (Things to see and do, places to eat, etc.) We'll definitely hit the zoo, opera house, bridge, and Hunter Valley wineries, but I'm looking for other ideas. Thanks.

ummm go to Parramatta station and watch all the homeless bums raid the bins for food, or drive to Penrith and watch your car get stolen in record time, or maybe hang out at Mt Druitt station and get stabbed by junkies...ahhh Sydney so much fun...Kings cross is the best, tell Steve at the bar of Porky's that Stumps sent ya and you'll get a free beer.
