Up here in Sacramento just for giggles (and the $30 in Jamba Juice/Starbucks gc's they were handing out, the KB development up in Natomas). Holy crap have prices come down. Last May when I first started to look, a new 1800sqft 3/2 house would go for $430-440, this year they're asking for $330-$360 and they're still not selling. Looks like I'll keep on waiting :)

Interesting. If you can keep an eye on the development I'd like to know when prices bottom out. I might buy one as a rental. The only bummer is that it's K&B, they build a crappy house.

Yeah, they keep sending me postcards for free crap to come tour their houses. I didnt have anything else planned for today so I went and found the prices a bunch lower since my last visit. I figure you could rent one of those out for about 1700-2000 a month, so it wouldnt be a profitable enterprise until the cost to buy comes in the 250K range, maybe next year.

Price still holding steady at $518,000 for an average house in my area, and new house is around $600,000.

You can do that in the middle of no-where in this country. Like Ohio.

People are willing to pay too damned much to live in Cali.

This was one of them

Im not really looking to buy right now, Ill probably leave Sacramento within a few years so with prices dropping there's no reason for me right now.

The house pictured is conveniently located near Dixon. Yay. There's NOTHING in Dixon, anyway....

Ummm, unless I'm smoking crack, it's about 40 miles from dixon. It off the 5 between the Arco Arena and the Airport.
