Live play-by-play with animations.

It's been a nice stage so far, and there is going to be a lot of action on the upcoming ascend and descend. Should be interesting.

Stage 4: Times have been somewhat slow, and a low ranked team had the lead for much of the day due to multiple crashes. Astana has a chance.

I wish I knew, but I don't. They show about an hour of tour highlights each night on local channels in Dallas.

Meh...where's the dammed "out of control truck careening down the road, wiping out all the cyclists" when you need it? :D

That almost happened at SpeedWheel in Oklahoma. I was standing on the corner right before the straight finish, and an old guy turned onto the circuit. We all yelled at him, and he accelerated towards the peloton!

Somehow, the entire pack dodged the truck by swerving to either side of it! Had they not moved, it would have been a murderous scene.

They are cruising at 31.3mph off the downhill, and the lead is increasing their lead over the peloton.

Kinda disappointed with the sprint, I was expecting a bit more.

What more were you expecting?

I was expecting a better sprint from Astana to see if we'd get better separation and put Lance and Contador in 1/2 respectively. 3/4 aren't bad, with Kloden in 6th - we'll see the separation in time trials though, when Astana decides who will wear yellow. Hope it's Lance ...

Are there some stages where riders wear helmets and when they don't? I've seen clips where they have helmets on and when they don't..

They wear aerodynamic helmets in the time trial stages, but not in the long group stages, where they can relax at times.

That time trial was pretty amazing to watch. On my best day I couldn't hang with those groups for 30 seconds even without having to take a turn at the front.

For the Americans without Versus: I just found a link to a stream of the Tour. IDK if it's OK to post it, but PM me for a link.

Yeah Versus had some coverage over the weekend.

Versus has quite extensive coverage of the Tour day France. I've been watching a few of the stages, the team time trial a couple days ago was intense.

Today's stage is in the wet.
