Tough CPU Sink/Fan Decision... please help.

Hey all...

I need to upgrade my generic cooling solution when I oc my chip... so I have been looking at the Alpha Pal 8045 w/ a 80mm 50.1 cfm fan. However, this one has also caught my attention and it comes with a free case vent.

Which do you think would be more cost effective?

BTW I posted this in cases/cooling w/ no responses, but I really want to buy this asap and I need some quick advice....

You can't beat the Alpha. I've got the Alpha with panaflo l1a on my TBird 1.0 (at 1.3). It keeps my system at 44C under full load.

Second vote for the Alpha. My rig never even cracks 40c under full load with that bad boy on. Kinda pricey, but keep things nice and cool.

the one you linked is 32dBA, which isn't too noisy, how noisy is the alpha?

The Alpha can be quiet depending on the fan you get with it. I don't overclock, so I don't need a big fan. It's NICE!
