I have this friend (no it's not me) who we suspect was duped by his wife into thinking their first child was his when in fact it may have been another guys. Is there a non-intrusive, low key way to test the child to see if it is in fact this guy's son? He doesn't LOOK like the "dad" but that obviously ain't conclusive evidence...

they usually require blood samples. maybe a monthly mop up! ewwww!!! j/k
A non intrusive way eh? In any case seems like your buddy feels he's stuck in the relationship or somehow doesn't trust her. well.. don't think it's gonna last long anyways so why not jsut be upfront.

get her really really drunk and take blood samples when she passes out, and then go vist the doc..LOL

i think there would be somthing illegal about her not consenting to it tho..

It's his kid(as of now anyway), why doesn't he just take the kid to the doctor without the wife knowing about it?

<< doesnt he need dna from the wife too? or is me stoooopid? >>

no I'm stoopid---didn't think about needing the wife's blood as well

edit: I'm not as dumb as I thought

<< Who needs to be tested?
For a typical DNA paternity test, a sample is collected from the mother, child and alleged father. Paternity can also be accurately determined in the absence of the mother, by testing the child and alleged father. A DNA paternity test can be performed on individuals at any age, even prenatally!

Compare the mother/father/child blood types. Ask the pediatrician or wife. Certain combinations are not possible.

They have more than one child together? This would be awfully destructive to the child then I'd think, who thinks your friend is his dad no matter what else.

Take care of the kid instead of worrying who the kid came from. That's what good parents are supposed to do.
