Touchscreen PC for high-end gaming

My friend is a heavy gamer. He likes to crank up the settings in Crysis as high as possible.

He is also interested in the new touch screen fad (I am guessing the HP touchsmart series??).

It looks like the touch screen PCs have integrated or very weak video cards. Am I correct? Are there any options for gamers to get touch screen capability as well? Can the included video card be replaced with a high end card or does that kill the touch screen feature?

All the HP touchscreens are integrated. They will not have room in them for an upgrade, even if you wanted to. Unless there is another company that is making them, I think you are SOL.

I see Cyclo Touch offering 22" reasonable kits for $150 or so. No main stream vendor has picked them up so you're left to ebay it from overseas.

I wanted to add one to my OLPC so I did some research.

You might just be able to hook up a touchscreen LCD to a gaming rig, but I'm not sure how the whole touchscreen thing works from a software end.

They basically are seen by Windows as a mouse.

How hard is it to keep a touchscreen clean? i.e. without fingerprints

They are fingerprint magnets... Seriously. We have several industrial grade ones at work. Personally, I don't see the hype with touch screens.

HP seems to have some sort of intuitive TouchSmart software suite for use with the touchscreen. Any idea where to get comparable software?

Touchscreens are also a horrible interface for real FPS gaming. The iPod touch/ iPhone has demonstrated that quite well.
