Touchpad won't scroll /w side scroll areas

So I picked up a new Lenovo Y510P and I can not find out how to enable side bar scrolling. I found that you can multi touch scroll (2 finger scrolling that SUCKS) but I can not get the side areas to allow scrolling. It uses the Elan touchpad drivers... wish it used Synaptics.
Any ideas?

Very disappointed in the Lenovo support for their touchpads... I had heard of it being piss poor, but it's sad. I finally fixed the problem by forcing windows to use a Toshiba Elan touchpad driver which was newer and has edge scrolling. I officially love Google Now too... I had given up searching and I noticed it threw a link on my phone since I was "searching" for this and thats the only way I found this fix.
