Touchpad Streaming To TV ?

Team,
Wow...there are so many different ways to stream internet to a TV it is so confusing. Apple, Sony, Laptop with WIDI? What route is the best. I would like to find out my options. I am intrigued with the idea of having a touchscreen tablet of sorts to be able to surf the internet with my 47" Vizio HD TV. The Intel I5 processor will be coming in tablets with the WIDI capabality (Netgear). However, the technology is so new that nothing has been released for the tablet. I am also not the one that likes to be the test pilot on new shelf products. I would also be open to a IPAD conneting ? Options ?????
Thanks in advance for the help! AnandTech is the BEST!!

I recently put together an HTPC that is connected to my plasma via HDMI. To control it I have installed a free version of Mobile Mouse on the HTPC and on my iphone which allows me to use the iphone as a touchscreen and if you shake it the keyboard pops up. Is something like that what you are looking for?

I am looking for something a little bigger than a Iphone. Something that reacts like a Ipad would be ideal. Wireless of course.

If you get a TV with DLNA there are a number of DLNA server/client apps for Android. (E.g. the built-in Allshare on a Galaxy Tab.)

edit: ah wait, you want internet, not streaming video... never mind
