Touchpad pointer mouse in oppsite direction

Hi All

I have a Dell E6410 and seem to be having a really annoying issue.
My Dell Alps touchpad mouse is sometimes playing up.

When I move my finger on the touchpad left the mouse pointer on the screen moves right (vice versa) and when I move my finger on touchpad Up on the screen the mouse moves down.
SO basically its doing the opposite. Also the pointer sporadically jumps to a different part of the screen. While tying this the mouse is jumping to different parts in this text box.

Hope you can help

Cheers

Dave

Have you looked in the control panel options for your touchpad? They usually do have a "reverse" option.

The pointer jump is probably your hand touching the touch sensor in the middle of the keyboard. If you don't normally use it, you may want to just disable it.
