Anyone have this happen before? It just started a day ago on this Toshiba, a few days earlier I installed the Synaptics driver. I've tried uninstalling the driver, reinstalling, changed some settings. Also tried depleting the 'flea power' as many say fixes issues like this.
It seemed the flea power depletion solved it but it came back, then I changed the touchpad sensitivity to the lightest setting and the palm rest check to heavy. This solved it for a while until it recently started up again. I've also cleaned the touchpad with Windex/water.
So far I've stopped it again by turning off touchpad tapping completely. So I'm on buttons-only at this point. The touchpad works fine, it simply acts as if it's being tapped constantly.
Is the touchpad simply going bad? This is on Windows 7.
