Touching Heatsink, not hot, what should I do?

Had some wierd problems last night, won't go into detail, but I have speedfan saying that my cpu is at 40C, but when I touch my XP-90 it's not even hot, barely warm. Time for a reset or what?
 
40C is nothing to worry about. 🙂

Once it gets above 60-65C is when you need to start getting worried about heat, but at 40C I doubt it was in any way responsible for whatever issues you were having.

You'll need to give some more detail, I think.
