Wanted to make sure theres a thread up to let people know in doubt, the 8800GTX does indeed fit the Antec Super Lanboy. Its a tight fit.. but it does fit with no case modding! And I'm typing on it NOW!

I posted an earlier thread that it is confirmed to fit the Aspire X-QPack as well.
This should ease some doubts of those out there still wondering on these smaller, yet popular cases.

I'm off to test out this GPU in Dark Messiah (then Medieval 2, then Oblivion, and the rest of my games) as soon as my RAID array finishes owning this DVD!! Weeeee :D

Update: HORRIBLE PIC. But all I have here is my camera phone. Guess its better than no pic? Alright, maybe not :p But its all I can offer for now till I get ahold of a camera.

YO can you post some pictures of your set up or perhaps link to someone else's? I have got to see this to believe this! Those 8800 cards are fabrikken gigantic! But anyways, congrats to getting yours to fit and work :)

LOL, Crusader, you are not going to get much benefit from 2 drive RAID 0, give it another drive at least!

Thanks for letting us know about the Antec Super Lanboy.

Although, that earlier thread you mentioned didn't really "confirm" anything beings how the poster you quoted claimed he was also getting 55 F on air w/stock cooling. (12.79 C which is impossible for air cooling to get).

I'm not saying that it won't fit in an X-QPack, just that that source didn't really "confirm" anything.

Well, its the best we have. I figured people would want to hear it from a better source than our own guesses.
Even if the Newegg review is by a tool. :p

Edit- I've looked into the Qpack for myself many times. And its actually a bit bigger than the SuperLanboy  .. near the same size, just different proportions. Better proportions for large video cards, that is.
The GTX barely (stressing the word barely) fits this case. The pic I provided sucks and I even have the power cables covering it :p

Why not?

Thanks for posting this info. I was getting ready to take EVERYTHING out of my lanboy and remove the HD bay.

What i was screwed up on was where the power cables plug in, with them facing outward on the side the 8800 GTX there is no big problem.

Hey, kuyaglen. I noticed in the picture you referenced that the memory modules are improperly mounted. For full bandwidth, you must have two equal size memory modules installed in identically colored memory slots.

The system you have shown is losing a good deal of memory bandwidth. Use Sandra and verify my claims.

All my best. (Sorry for the off topic response!)

Normally thats true but not in the case of my MSI K8N Diamond Plus.

Fantastic, that's my case!

I only wish I could conscience the additional $200 and I'd get the GTX rather than the GTS for Christmas.

Maybe, just maybe I'll sneak a 'step-up' by the wife sometime in February when the GTX prices have dropped...

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I'd like to know if I'll be able to use an HSF such as Zalman or Scythe Ninja, and still have enough space for a 8800GTS.
As you can see in my sig, my case is not too cramped, and I'm not planning to cramp it further aside from the new video card and hsf. Still it's a small case so I want to make sure.
Someone put my mind at ease please.

bump*

I need a reply to my question please.

Also I'd like to know.. If I get the card, and a new PSU. Will I have everything I need to install it? There is some kind of 6pin connector or something that's needed for the card. Is that included or do I have to buy? Basically I want to make sure that when the card arrives, I'll have everything I need to plug it in and play. I dont want to end up missing some little cable or adapter.

I'll be getting an OCZ 600w PSU and 8800GTS 640mb.
