Touch Screens

Hello,

I have an interesting problem (this is rather bizarre so bear with me). My fingers do not work well with touch screens. No, it is not a dexterity problem; but more to the point is like clicking on a number to dial. They do not seem to activate the feature and at times it takes four or five touches to make anything happen.

For a bit of background; my hands are smooth, no callouses due to 30 some odd years of being an office rat. It it just rather irritating and was wondering that could cause this anomaly.

Told you it was a bizarre request,
Tom

Is your skin dry?

I have noticed a change in sensitivity when I use touch screens & my hands are moist or dry. I never use lotion of any sort & lotion might help, but I don't often use touch screens so it doesn't matter so much to me.

I have same issue. My hands are very calloused from work though. The real trick for me is on tablets when clicking links, usually clicks the wrong one or i hit a dozen times. Most icons on my Ipad take a few presses...if i press hard enough it usually registers.

Maybe the sensitivity of the devices needs to be increased.
Try attaching a ground wire between the cover plate screw of a wall outlet and your ankle.
