im finding myself in a dillema, aside from my horrible spelling. lol.
for the past year im finding myself becoming more and more bored with PC's.
Its not a lack of learning, or a lack of hardware, its just plain boredom.
but maybe i find a new program, or a game and i play it for a short time, then im bored again.
well, i been bored for some time now, and ive come to a crossroads.
1)
Stay with my current setup and periodically spend more and more money or dont and just do light upgrades from time to time.
2)
drop all this and trade it for one ass kicking laptop. amd 64 , lots of ram widescreen or at least a 17in screen with high res and good refresh and good for minor games and kawaks roms. ati or nvidia latest mobile chipsets. dvd burner of course. wireless and wired. and all the bells and whistles.
frankly gents im ready to move to a laptop. 2 months ago i got rid of a kick ass 3ghz laptop maxed out, but it had crappy intel video, and wouldnt even run mame very good. but everything else was ok i guess.
im stuck, and i know the first thing people will say it, what will i be doing, well, since there is no light at the end of the tunnel for gaming, meaning game after game has proven to be nothing more than a rehash of other games. and nothing new,, its all old hat. not to mention i end up playing Kawa-X on my xbox more than i ever play other games. which brings me to my gaming dilemma, i have my xbox, and although i KNOW a pc and xbox are 2 different things. most of my gaming i think is a 50/50 split pc/xbox .
im just bored and as you can see i cant make up my mind. id be happy with a laptop, but it would have to be a serious laptop.
id be interested in starting a thread in the FS/FT forum but honestly i dont want to make a Make me an offer thread, well yes it would be that, so to speak, i just want to see what hardware people have out there. and see what people would offer me.
asside from the hardware you see in my sig, all thats left to mention is a full water set up. with BRAND NEW Koolance Exos parts, its all the exos parts except the exos case and radiator. when i saiy new its new never used, fresh from koolance. along with hose and a big bag of koolance fluid.
along with that water hardware i already have inside my case a koolance exos res/pump swiftech mcx5000 cpu block with amd 64 hardware AND pent 4 hardware. mcw50 video block with nvidia and ati hardware. Heater core from the parts store i have as my current radiator. and it works great.
also have an AMD koolance CPU300 mounting hardware. and also have a koolance CPU100 cpu block with pent 4 hardware.
