Ok, I'm switching to the SRO sprint plan...

I've narrowed down my choices I think!

Wants....

I want a phone to mostly just a phone!!!
Clear!!! Most important is to be able to hear and other person hear you!
nice screen... Readability.
Good Battery Life
Very Portable - No Bricks!
Want to be able to link up to Laptop for occasional on line access.
Also, I do travel and it would be nice to leave the lap top home and use it to check gmail or surf for a nearby restaurant ...

Don't care about...
Camera - got my own...
Lugging around a brick that needs to be charged frequently...
Texting don't do much of that...
MP3's I doubt I'll ever listen to MP3's on my phone...

Currently I have a Razor first generation but I don't go online with it cause ATT charges per Bit's used...

So being that the touch is about 50 bucks more ... I read the reviews of both. I hear that if you use the keyboard functions then the Mogul is the way to go, I've got big fingers... They say the Touch is bad if you need to type out a message. I am pretty sure I'll buy the touch but thought I'd post this as one last ditch effort before I make my choice!

I want to get peoples ideas on what one is the best? If you are using one of these phones then please respond with your cons or likes!

Thanks!

If you need to do any significant amount of typing, go with the Mogul. Otherwise, the Touch is the better option (interface doesn't require as much user input to customize as HTC does it for you, whereas the for the Mogul you have to download the cabs of the touch interface and 128 MB RAM >>>> 64 MB). The touch is also lighter.

As far as PAM, you're going to need to either pay extra, or risk using somewhat grey area programs that if Sprint figures out what's going on, you're going to get some *massive* jobs

Windows mobile by default is not very touch finger friendly either.

Buttons and menus are way too small and you really need a stylus.

From what I've read on the touch, it's pretty finger friendly. Personally I'd try out either phone at a store if you can and see which interface you like most.

Have you thought about the palm centro btw? I really like mine, the palm os is fairly finger friendly, and it has a nice keyboard.

If you think you will need the keyboard or the wifi, go with the mogol. You can install touchflo on a mogul, but there's no way to get wifi or the keyboard on the touch. Also, there are 3rd party developed on screen keyboards that are better than the one built into touchflo. I love my mogul. Its my 3rd WM phone and this one has required very little tinkering to get it just right, where my other 2 required what seemed like endless reg edits, 3rd party software, or custom roms.

I love my mogul as well. It requires a fair bit of tweaking and learning, but once you get it working right, its one hell of an awesome product. The third party scene is amazing. The only issue I ever really have (besides bluetooth) is the fact the phone gets rather uncomfortable to hold up after a while and bluetooth still has issues.

If you really, really are not going to do any text input, get the Touch. Otherwise, go with the Mogul.
