Anybody think it would rock though? Oh yeah those hard drives stay cool because there are fans mounted blowing over and between them.

What would you do different?

hehe, The only reason one would buy a system like that would be to show it off.

I think it would rock, but If I had that computer, I would still be doing the same things I do now. Right now I run everything just fine, and play games of Quake3 with smooth framerates.

A computer like that is overkill.

But its something I'd do if I had the money to burn.

It'd be nice to fool around with some super computer, like I heard Intel sold one not long ago that was worth billions of dollars, and it took up a few rooms. heh

Or at least run some benchmarks on some advanced weather forcasting supercpus.

I'd get 1 ghz CPUs, and a pioneer scsi dvd while i was at it. i think pcnut sells a combo with that board and two 700s@933 for waaaayy less.

Remeber this is what is AVAILIBLE TODAY.

I considered the Pioneer DVD drive, but very little software is on DVD, and if I were spending this much on a computer don't you think I would be able to afford a kick ass home theater? And if I really need to use DVD software I would just map the 16X DVD drive (Pioneer tray- i don't like slot because you have to touch the disc surface, and they can get dirty inside the drive easier) that I have already.

heh...If I won the lottery I would buy that system...but in terms of everyday use it is TOTAL overkill 🙂
